Bangkok, Thailand
Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star, 2026
Waldorf Astoria Bangkok stands on Ratchadamri Road in the heart of Thailand’s capital, with interiors by Andre Fu and AvroKo.
Our team recommends
The hotel takes up two sets of floors in a tall, curving tower in Ratchaprasong, the district of malls, hotels and spas. The entrance is discreet, on a side street off Ratchadamri Road, and Chit Lom BTS station is a short walk away.
The lobby sits high above the street, looking over the green of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, with bronze screens and curved stone walls. Check-in was quick, and we were welcomed with a glass of anchan, the violet butterfly pea flower tea.
Our King Deluxe Suite followed the curve of the building, with arched windows, a walk-in closet and Thai touches in deep blue and gold against dark oak. The bathroom is a wet room with a rain shower and a round soaking tub.
Breakfast at The Brasserie is among the best we’ve had in Asia: Thai, Chinese and Western dishes, dim sum, noodles and tropical fruit, with chefs cooking to order. The staff went further and brought anything we wanted from the buffet to our table.
We had dinner at Bull & Bear, a grill with views across the city, and drinks at The Loft, the cocktail bar. Peacock Alley, off the lobby, is the place for afternoon tea.
The infinity pool has cabanas set into the water and a bar close by, and the gym beside it is open around the clock. Hotel guests can use the spa’s steam room and sauna without booking a treatment.
The hotel let us check out late, then gave us a little more time so we could have dinner before leaving. It’s the kind of care we remember.
From our guests

Our team recommends
Our team found it right for a few days in the city, with shopping, dining and the BTS on the doorstep, and a breakfast worth getting up for.
From our guests
Most of our guests stay in a King Deluxe Room. For two beds, book the Twin Deluxe Room City View.
Our team recommends
For more space, book the King Deluxe Suite, with its curved walls, walk-in closet and round tub.
For a living room apart from the bedroom, we’d choose the King One Bedroom Astoria Suite. For a family, the King Two Bedroom Waldorf Suite, on the 12th and 14th floors, has a dining table for six, a powder room and two bathrooms with deep soaking tubs.
From our guests
Everything is perfect.
It was a great experience.
