Our team recommends
The hotel fills 11 storeys of a building on Bloor Street, a few minutes from Yorkville, and Bloor-Yonge subway station is reached from the ground floor without stepping outside. The Royal Ontario Museum and Yorkville Park are a 10 to 15-minute walk.
Check-in is up on the sixth floor, in the Living Room, the W’s take on a lobby, styled after 1970s Yorkville. It has corners for working and for a drink, round sofas around a fire pit, and the W Sound Suite, a recording studio behind tinted glass.
Our Studio Suite on the ninth floor was one open space in deep blues, with musical touches like record-player tables and stage lighting. A bottle of sparkling wine was waiting for us when we arrived.

From our guests
Most of our guests stay in a guest room with a king bed looking onto the courtyard. Now and then, one of them takes a one-bedroom suite.

For more room, choose a Studio Suite. Ours was open plan, with a king bed, a reading corner and a banquette for an evening drink.
For outdoor space, request a Premier (Terrace) room, which opens onto a terrace, with a king bed or two queens. The Urban Suite adds a living area and also comes with two queens, for a family. For an occasion, the Penthouse I Suite rises over two levels, with a large bar for entertaining and a shower for two.
