Our team recommends
The hotel stands on the corner of 4th Avenue and Seneca Street in the heart of downtown. Pike Place Market is about ten minutes on foot, the monorail to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass is about seven, and the light rail from the airport stops a block away.
The lobby is calm for a W, built around an enclosed fireplace, with lounge seating on the lower level and the front desk above.
We were upgraded to a Studio Suite on a corner of the 15th floor. A long desk looked out to a sliver of Puget Sound, with a charging station within reach, and a touch of emerald on the bed, for the Emerald City, set off a wall of reclaimed wood.
Breakfast is at TRACE Market, a casual spot for breakfast and lunch, where we took coffee and a bagel sandwich before an early flight. The gym has a row of treadmills and room for floor workouts.

The Studio Suite is still one room. For a separate living room, choose a Superior Suite, a corner suite on the top floors with city views through floor-to-ceiling windows and a jetted tub. The Penthouse Suite on the 24th floor adds a dining and bar area and a glimpse of Puget Sound.
