Our team recommends
The hotel is in Sathorn, a district known for its hotels and cocktail bars, about five minutes on foot from Chong Nonsi station. The Chao Phraya River is about 20 minutes away on foot.
In front of the tower stands The House on Sathorn, an old mansion that was once the Russian Embassy and is now a protected heritage building. Its bar was the highlight of our stay: each cocktail was a small show, made with local ingredients by the whole team of bartenders.
The manager welcomed us with a round of drinks at check-in. Our suite on the 30th floor had a separate living room, a big bathroom with a deep tub, and mango sticky rice and a note waiting on the table.
Breakfast at The Kitchen Table is a big spread, with a noodle station and dishes from across Asia, looking out over The House on Sathorn. The pool, with cabanas and daybeds, and the AWAY Spa, with a hammam, sauna and steam room, share one floor.

The Studio Suite is one open room with a sitting area, while the Supreme Suite puts a wall between the bedroom and the living room. For a family, request the Wondrous Two-Bedroom: a Premier Room connected to a Studio Suite or a Deluxe Room, with a king bed and two twins.
