Our team recommends
The hotel is in a quiet, largely residential corner of Meguro, next to the shops and restaurants of Yebisu Garden Place. Ebisu Station is about a ten-minute walk, and from there the Yamanote Line reaches Shibuya, Harajuku and Shinjuku in under 15 minutes.
The lobby lounge is built like a European palace, with tall columns under a high ceiling. Staff took our skis, snowboards and bags as we walked up to the door.
The concierge had kept some of our luggage for several days before the stay, and it was waiting in the room when we arrived. The room had been set up in advance for the three of us, down to three sets of Japanese pyjamas in the dresser.
In the club lounge, the staff were attentive on every visit and quickly set up a table for our group. The best seats look out at Tokyo Tower, and evening drinks there were a good start to a night out in the city.

The rooms have all been redesigned, and at about 450 square feet they are generous for Tokyo. Request a Tokyo Tower View room on the 12th floor or above, a corner one if you can. The Executive rooms add the Westin Club on the top floor, with breakfast and evening cocktails.
For a separate living room, choose a Deluxe Suite, twice the size of the rooms, with Westin Club access; some face Tokyo Tower, and a version with two double beds suits a family of three. The Executive Suite is larger again, at about 1,350 square feet.
