The entry suites are the Astor Suites, corner suites of about 700 square feet with a separate living room and floor-to-ceiling windows. We’d choose the Metropolitan Suite, whose living room is ringed by windows with marble window seats, beside a dining table for up to six.
For a family, request the 2-Bedroom Suite: the Metropolitan Suite joined to a Deluxe Double Double through a shared entry. On the 19th and 20th floors, the St. Regis Suite looks out to the bay and the East Bay hills, with a jetted tub in a limestone bathroom.
