Our team recommends
The hotel is in the heart of downtown Calgary, with The CORE’s shops about seven minutes away on foot and the Calgary Tower about 15. Its interiors take their cue from Oscar Wilde, and every room has a copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray by the bed.
Our King Guest Room with a city view, on the 21st floor, was bold and playful, in deep blues against white furniture, with marble and bronze throughout. A bar cart and a coffee machine sat by the marble desk, and the marble bathroom had a rain shower and Aesop products.
On a longer stay, our suite had more of everything: a living room with a bar, a kitchenette and a bright bathroom with a soaking tub. Night lights under the nightstands came on as we moved, a thoughtful touch.
The Wilde on 27 looks out over the city from the 27th floor, with cocktails and dinner. Prologue, the café off the lobby, turns into a cocktail bar in the evening.

The hotel lists that suite as the One Bedroom Suite, its only suite category, more than twice the size of a King Guest Room, with a separate living room and city views. Families of four do well in a Queen Queen City View room, and some rooms connect.
