Our team recommends
Rooms in this 19th-century palazzo are compact, so if you don’t need a suite, choose a Premium Luxury Room with Juliet Balcony, opening over the gardens. The Junior Suite faces the courtyard; for real space, we’d choose the Deluxe Suite, nearly twice the size of the Premium rooms, on the garden or historic side.
The suite we’d choose is the Suite with Panoramic Terrace and Outdoor Jacuzzi, whose furnished terrace and private tub look out over the rooftops of Rome. With children, we’d book the Terrace Family Suite, two connecting rooms that share a terrace.
From our guests
I really liked the hotel architecture, and the restaurant was amazing. The breakfast food quality was great and eggs were made to order. I went to the restaurant two nights for dinner and it was delicious.
The Sofitel Rome is a very nice hotel with an amazing restaurant and bar on the rooftop … with a very pretty view of St. Peter’s Basilica and the city of Rome … I would definitely go back to the Sofitel when returning to Rome.
