The hotel sits on a hill in The Rocks, the old quarter just north of the city centre, above Sydney Harbour. Circular Quay, with its trains and ferries, is an easy walk down, and the Harbour Bridge climb, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Rocks Markets are close by. With luggage, arrive by car.
Breakfast at Altitude, on the 36th floor, was the highlight of our stay, with tables facing straight out over the harbour. Come early for a window seat, and try the eggs Benedict.
Blu Bar on 36, beside Altitude, is a sleek cocktail bar with the same sweeping view. We’d go up for a drink even when staying elsewhere.
The Health Club on the second level has a well-equipped gym, an indoor pool, a whirlpool and a sundeck. Chi, The Spa is on the same floor.
