Our team recommends
The hotel sits at the edge of the Old Town, a few steps from Náměstí Republiky metro station. Old Town Square is about eight minutes away on foot and the Charles Bridge under 20, and the Vltava riverbank, lined with floating restaurants and bars, is a short walk north.
Behind a plain front, the lobby opens into a large, bright lounge, and the whole hotel had just been renovated. At check-in, one of the staff introduced herself as our contact for anything we needed during the stay.
We stayed in a Family Suite in the renovated wing, with a living room and desk, a separate king bedroom, a walk-in closet and a large marble bathroom with a deep tub and a rain shower. A small welcome of fruit and a pastry was waiting on the desk.
The club lounge behind the restaurant serves breakfast, with eggs made to order, and evening hors d’oeuvres with Pilsner Urquell on tap. The Artisan, the hotel’s restaurant, has an open kitchen, and the coffee corner by the lobby has pastries to go.

Our team found it a quiet, central base for a short stay, close to the sights and the metro, with staff who went out of their way to look after us.

For more space, choose the Family Suite, with a separate king bedroom, a living room for working and a bathroom big enough for a long soak.
Without a suite, choose a Club Balcony Guest Room, with a private balcony looking over the city’s spires. For a couple, we’d choose the Duplex Suite, high in the hotel, with the living room on the lower level and the bedroom above. With children, request toys, games or a play tent in the Family Suite.
