Who it suits

From our guests

Our guests write most about the setting: the lake and the landscape around it.

Which room to ask for

Our team recommends

The Classic Rooms look over the forest, so for the lake choose a Luxury Room, with its own balcony or terrace, a fireplace and a whirlpool bath for two. Couples on a special trip do well in the Cartier Cabin on the shore, with a private dock and a kayak below the balcony. Readers of Louise Penny may prefer the Bellechasse Room, named for the inn Manoir Hovey inspired in her novels.

For a true suite, the Oriole Suite on the wooded slope above the lake has a separate living room and a terrace with a hot tub. Its neighbour, the Heron Suite, has two bedrooms, and the two share an outdoor pool of their own. For a family or a longer stay, Dragonwatch Cottage, built in 1898 beside the estate, has three bedrooms, its own shoreline and a dock.
