Prince Collection’s notes

Our team recommends

The hotel is in the middle of Central, with an exit of Central MTR station right outside. City Hall, the Observation Wheel and the Star Ferry are an easy walk, and the Airport Express at Hong Kong Station is close by.

Service is the reason we’d go back. Part of our party arrived ahead of us, and the staff settled them in the Mandarin Club; when we reached the front desk, they moved them to a table by the entrance so they could greet us.

They offered us a table with a better view as soon as one was free, and brought plates from the afternoon tea so we didn’t have to get up. The staff seemed to know what we needed before we did.

We had dinner at Man Wah, the Cantonese restaurant on the 25th floor, with the harbour below. The Aubrey, a Japanese izakaya and bar on the same floor, was buzzing when we looked in, and it’s on our list for a drink next time.

This is the brand’s first hotel, and it carries a sense of history and occasion that newer towers can’t match. Its line-up of bars and restaurants impressed us too.

Who it suits

Our team recommends

Our team found it right for anyone who wants to be at the heart of Central, with service that looks after everyone in the party.

From our guests

Our guests write most about the service, and about the club lounge staff by name.

Which room to ask for

From our guests

Most of our guests stay in a Harbour View Room or a Statue Square View Room.

Our team recommends

If you’d rather not take a suite, we’d choose a Club Harbour View Room, which looks over Victoria Harbour and opens The Mandarin Club on the 23rd floor for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. The club rooms connect, which suits a family travelling together.

The suites add a living room, a walk-in wardrobe and a cloakroom for visitors, and are nearly twice the size of the rooms. We’d request the Harbour View Suite, for the water from the living room.
