London, England, United Kingdom
London Marriott Hotel County Hall fills the old County Hall on the South Bank of the Thames, looking across the river to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
Our team recommends
The hotel sits right on the river beside the London Eye, with Big Ben and Westminster across the water. Westminster Bridge is a short walk, Buckingham Palace about 20 minutes on foot, and Waterloo station a few minutes away.
Our King room looked straight at Big Ben over the busy river path. It had been freshly renovated, with old maps of London on the wallpaper, a desk that looked like an old school desk and a bright bathroom with a rain shower.
Breakfast is served in The Library, a ground-floor room lined with old oak bookcases, and our window table looked across the Thames. The club lounge was a quiet place to work, with drinks and canapés in the evening from a warm, funny team.
Upstairs, the fitness centre is one of the best we have seen, with a sauna and a small balcony over the river. The 25-metre indoor pool is through the changing rooms.

Our team recommends
Our team found it ideal for seeing London on foot, with Westminster just across the bridge.
From our guests
Our guests write about the helpful front desk and the location.
Our team recommends
Request a room facing the river. Ours, a River Thames View King, had Big Ben in its window.
Above that, the Balcony Suites on the top floor have a private balcony with a table, looking across the Thames to Big Ben and Parliament. The suite we’d choose is the Big Ben Balcony Suite, a duplex with dining for eight that can connect to a second balcony bedroom. Larger families do well in the South Bank Balcony Suite, a duplex of up to three bedrooms.
From our guests
The front desk was always very helpful. Great location.
