San Francisco, California, United States
JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square stands on Mason Street, in the heart of the city by Union Square.
Our team recommends
The hotel stands on the corner of Mason and Post, between the Financial District and the shops of Union Square and Market Street. San Francisco’s airport is about 30 minutes away by car.
The lobby and front desk are up on the third floor, and glass lifts rise through a tall central atrium. Our room was a Studio King Suite on a corner, a generous size for San Francisco, with views east and south to the tip of the Transamerica Pyramid.
The suite had a king bed in a combined bedroom and sitting room, and a high table in the corner that suited an early hour of work. The walk-in closet, vanity and bathroom open off the entry, which gives the suite a lot of room.
From our guests

Our team recommends
Our team found the suite a comfortable base in the middle of downtown, close to Union Square.
From our guests
Most of our guests stay in a guest room with one king bed.
Our team recommends
For more space, choose a Studio King Suite. Ours was on a corner, with room to work and a large dressing area.
If you don’t need a suite, request a Golden Gate View Room, which looks past the skyline to the bridge. A family fits best in a Junior Suite with two double beds and its own sitting area. For a true one-bedroom, the California Presidential Suite sits on a high floor, with a dining table for six and a soaking tub.
