Our guests stay in a Signature King, most often on the Fairmont Gold floors, with the Fairmont Gold Lounge for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
Our team recommends
If you don’t need a suite, we’d choose a Fairmont Gold Tokyo Tower View King, with the tower in the window and the Fairmont Gold Lounge; the larger Signature rooms face the skyline instead. The entry Fairmont Gold Suite is a true suite on a corner. We’d single out the Fairmont Gold Signature Suite on the 42nd floor, with a seating nook modelled on the engawa, the veranda of a Japanese house.
For a longer stay, The View Suite has separate living, dining and work areas and looks over both the city and Tokyo Bay. The Shibaura Suite, on the highest floor and facing Tokyo Tower, has room to dine and art recalling the old port of Shibaura. Families can take the Signature Suite with twin beds, or connect a suite to a second room.

I loved it from beginning to end … The Gold Lounge has an amazing view over the bay and the city … I went with the Japanese breakfast for three days and loved it … Bonus: I had a very clear view of Mount Fuji on basically all days.
The Gold Lounge was the best I’ve stayed in: everything was made to order, no buffet, and a full bartender to make any drink through the day – all included.
The view from the pool was magnificent, especially at night, seeing Tokyo Tower all lit up!
