Prince Collection’s notes

Our team recommends

The lodge sits on Lac Beauvert, a few kilometres outside the town of Jasper. Rather than one grand building, it is a main lodge with cabins and smaller buildings spread across the grounds, so it feels like a true mountain lodge rather than a castle.

We spent hours on our patio, with coffee in the morning and the sunset over the lake in the evening. The bathroom had been newly renovated, with a rain shower.

A trail of about 3 km circles the lake, and we saw elk and loons along it. Benches and Muskoka chairs are scattered everywhere for taking in the view, and on a clear night the stars over the park are outstanding.

The staff had an old-school warmth, from the valet and the pool attendant to the bartender and the front desk. For two days we never felt the need to leave the grounds.

Who it suits

Our team recommends

Our team found it a place to unwind and stay put, with the lake, the trails and the mountains on the doorstep.

From our guests

Our guests write about the lakefront suites and the golf cart shuttle around the grounds.

Which room to ask for

From our guests

Most of our guests stay in a Fairmont King room, some with a furnished patio looking over the resort. For more space, others take a Bayview Junior Suite with a fireplace.

Our team recommends

Request a room with a patio or balcony. Ours was a Deluxe Main Lodge King room, and its patio over Lac Beauvert, the mountains and the pool was where we spent most of our time.

For a suite on the water, we’d choose a Luxury Lakefront 1 Bedroom Suite, with a balcony over the lake, a wood fireplace and a personal concierge. Families can take a Premier Deluxe King, its bedroom apart from a sitting area, connected to a Junior Suite Lakeview along the lake. For more space, the One Bedroom Suite Bayview has bunk beds and two bathrooms, and the Whistler 2 Bedroom Cabin a kitchenette.

What our guests say

The room upgrade to the lakefront luxury king suite was the best thing that happened during our stay. Given our lodge was on the farthest side, the free 24/7 golf cart shuttle was very helpful for our family.
