Our team recommends
The hotel stands right on the Danube on the Pest side, looking straight across at Buda Castle. Gellért Hill is just over the Elizabeth Bridge, the Rudas Baths are across the river, and Deák Ferenc tér and its metro are a few minutes away on foot.
Our room was in the north wing, facing west, and the sun set over the hills of Buda right outside the window. A welcome note was waiting, with a small bottle of prosecco, baked goods and Hungarian paprika paste.
Breakfast at DNB Budapest was a strong start to each day, with an egg station, fresh pastries, a whole honeycomb, cold cuts, smoked salmon and pickled vegetables. We ordered omelettes with Hungarian salami.
The fitness centre has cardio machines facing the river, and a small spa with a hot tub, a steam room and a sauna.

Request a room facing west over the Danube. Ours looked across to Buda and caught the sunset.
For a suite, we’d choose an Executive Suite, with a separate living room, a dining table and a balcony looking across the river to Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge. The Corner Studio Suites are one room with a balcony, and most connect to a Deluxe Room, which works well for a family. The Presidential Suite has a private terrace over the river larger than an Executive Suite.
