Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills occupies the top six floors of the Toranomon Hills tower in central Tokyo. On the 52nd floor, the Rooftop Bar opens onto a semi-open-air terrace above the city.
Our team recommends
Toranomon Hills is a business district in central Tokyo, with Tokyo Tower about 15 minutes away on foot. Toranomon Hills station on the Hibiya Line connects to the building underground, and Haneda Airport is about 40 minutes by train.
Check-in was relaxed and seated, in a lobby set against a towering wall of kumiko woodwork. Our corner room had floor-to-ceiling windows curving around a view of Tokyo Tower, walnut panelling, and a Japanese-style wet room with a round stone tub.
Snacks and soft drinks from the minibar were on the house, and pyjamas were laid out for us. When we stayed, the lobby lounge set out light bites through the day and wine, sparkling wine and sake with hors d’oeuvres each evening.
Breakfast matched Tokyo’s top hotels, with an à la carte menu beside a buffet of Western staples and Japanese dishes, from grilled mackerel to rice bowls. The chef will make you a soft onsen egg if you ask.
The 37th floor has a fitness centre and an indoor infinity pool looking over the city, with hot tubs alongside. At night the views from the Rooftop Bar on the 52nd floor were incredible.
From our guests

Our team recommends
Our team found it a stylish, central base in Tokyo, with thoughtful touches for every guest.
From our guests
Our guests stay in king rooms, some of them facing Tokyo Tower.
Our team recommends
Every room looks out over the skyline, toward Tokyo Tower on one side and Tokyo Skytree and the Imperial Palace on the other. The hotel has only a handful of suites, so book early if you’d like one.
If you don’t need a suite, request an Andaz Large Tower King, a corner room with wide windows toward Tokyo Tower. Of the eight suites, we’d choose the Bay View Suite, a corner suite over Tokyo Bay and Tokyo Tower, about two and a half times the size of a standard room. The Andaz Suite is the same size but faces the Imperial Palace, and the Sky Suite is the largest.
