Our team recommends
The hotel is at Yonge and Charles, a few blocks from Yonge and Bloor, with the Bloor–Yonge subway station steps away. Bloor Street’s luxury shops and Yorkville are about five minutes on foot, and the Royal Ontario Museum and the University of Toronto about ten.
The entrance on Charles Street, with potted pines and a rustic wooden door, opens into a dim, industrial-chic lobby. Our Loft King room was grey and raw wood, with an exposed brick wall, a retro phone and a record player.
The bathroom was the room’s best feature, with gold taps, hexagonal floor tiles and a walk-in shower, reached through a large walk-in closet. Constantine, the restaurant downstairs, serves Mediterranean dishes and opens a terrace in the warmer months.

If you don’t need a suite, we’d choose the 1 King Bed Corner Room, a studio-like corner with two club chairs, a writing desk and a separate dressing area. In the Lofts, request a High Floor room, on floors six to ten, for the wider city views.
For a separate living room, choose The Master Suite, about twice the size of a Loft, with a sectional sofa, a dining area and exposed brick. For outdoor space, The Apartment Suite on the second floor is one room with its own patio looking north over the city.
