The hotel stands where Bay Street meets Yorkville Avenue, among the boutiques and restaurants of Yorkville. The Royal Ontario Museum and the Gardiner Museum are within about 15 minutes on foot, and Bay subway station is a minute from the door.
We stayed in a Yorkville Premier Room on the 20th floor, calm in pale wood, with a curved sofa in the corner and wide views over the city. The granite bathroom had a freestanding tub, and a welcome note and fresh fruit were waiting on the table.
Dinner was at Café Boulud, Daniel Boulud’s French restaurant on the ground floor, where the beef tartare and the duck for two stood out. Breakfast is served there too, and d|bar nearby suits an evening drink.
The indoor pool on the ninth floor is heated, with a hot tub and plenty of loungers, and the spa opens off it. The fitness centre on the eighth floor is large and well equipped, with a studio for yoga.
Every request, from a dinner booking to a late check-out, was handled quickly and with a smile. We asked for a dental kit through the Four Seasons app and came back to find it set out beside our toiletries.
