The hotel adjoins the IFC mall, and covered walkways lead to the Central ferry piers and to Hong Kong Station, where the Airport Express stops. From the station, the hotel’s own car brings you the last stretch.
We stayed in a Deluxe Harbour-View Room, roomy for Hong Kong, with Victoria Harbour filling the windows. Hong Kong milk tea and dim sum were waiting as a welcome, and the bathroom had a deep tub, a rain shower and a television to watch from the bath.
The pool deck on the sixth floor is one of the finest city pools we know, with a heated infinity pool on the harbour, a lap pool, a cold plunge and a whirlpool. The gym and the spa share the floor, with the same views.
Dining is a reason to stay here in itself. Lung King Heen cooks Cantonese food and dim sum, Caprice is French and Sushi Saito serves omakase, while ARGO, off the lobby, is a cocktail bar known around the world.
The service is what stays with us. Staff apologized for even a short wait, and the pool attendants had our loungers ready as we arrived.
