One of the most illustrious and historic hotels in Venice, the Danieli is composed of three interconnecting palaces that date back to the 15th, 19th and 20th centuries. The Palazzo Dandolo was completed in the late 1400s as a private home and lodging place for princes, cardinals and ambassadors. The hotel attracted many celebrated guests, from Lord Byron and Balzac to Dickens and Proust.
